Testimonials

Propel Careers is developing future leaders through our mentorship program and building lasting relationships between our mentors and our mentees. We are very excited by the connections we are making! Below are a few testimonials highlighting the benefits of working with Propel Careers and the value we are bringing to everyone involved with Propel.

I got in contact with Propel Careers while doing postdoctoral research in the medical device space at Brigham and Women's Hospital. I wanted to transition my career into a more entrepreneurial role but having been so long in academia, I really didn't know how to go about doing it. Propel provided an amazing mentor and an insightful internship opportunity. My mentor helped me structure some clear career paths that I could pursue and he introduced me to some of his colleagues in my fields of interest. The internship opportunity at the Institute of Pediatric Innovations got me immersed in the operations of a very innovative organization which aims to improve pediatric medical care through the development of new products and drug reformulations, which was a great learning experience. Another fantastic thing about Propel is their events. They bring together students, researchers, employees from both start-ups and large corporations, venture professionals and a great variety of people involved in the life sciences field. It has really helped me to learn about the industry and to understand better the value of fostering my own network, especially when trying to transition careers. I would definitely recommend the events to anyone who is interested in the life sciences arena! I can definitely say that Propel Careers has been an immensely valuable resource and has really helped me move forward with my career.

I cannot thank Lauren at Propel Careers enough! I first found out about Propel Careers, when Lauren forwarded my resume to the Mass Life Sciences Program and helped me land an internship at Alzcor Pharmaceuticals, a start-up developing disease modifying therapies for Alzheimer’s disease patients. My internship at Alzcor allowed me to gain some start-up experience, develop a very unique set of skills, and work closely with the CEO of Alzcor, Mark Marchionni. Not only did this internship boost my resume, but the start-up atmosphere allowed me to interact with leaders in the Healthcare industry, giving me an experience many seasoned professionals would be jealous of!   Lauren also connected me with Stuart Bennett in London, who is currently mentoring me for a role within the financial industry. As Propel Careers states, “The mission of Propel Careers is to cultivate talent to produce the next generation of successful leaders and entrepreneurs, by connecting students with companies for value added internships and through mentoring.” I believe this organization has done a fantastic job of living up to its admirable mission, by connecting talented individuals with internships and mentors where they can make a difference.
