Making Connections that Fuel Innovation
Fueling Innovation. Fostering Leaders.
Propel Careers is a Boston based life sciences search and career development firm with the unique distinction of being dedicated to networking, mentoring and career development. Propel has a highly personalized approach which benefits everyone we interact with. Propel’s core mission is to help current and future leaders accelerate their careers and by doing so, impact their success as well as the success of the industry.
History
Propel was proudly founded in Boston in 2009 to foster entrepreneurship and to cultivate leaders with an initial focus on the life sciences industry. Propel’s founders, Dr. Omar Amirana and Lauren Celano are extremely passionate about the life sciences industry, creating entrepreneurial success, and the power of networking to create connections and build valuable relationships. Propel was formed because they recognized the importance of job creation and career development opportunities to the success of the industry, especially in tough economic times. We also recognize that this is critically important for the younger talent in the industry, so that they have opportunities to develop and grow to become the next generation of successful leaders and entrepreneurs to drive our industry forward.
Mission
The mission of Propel Careers is to make connections that fuel innovation and by doing so, strengthen current leaders and produce the next generation of successful leaders and entrepreneurs. To do this, Propel takes a very relationship based approach to full time and internship placement, incorporating networking, coaching and mentoring to provide benefit to the companies and the individuals we work with, as well as the entire life sciences ecosystem. Our personalized approach is a cornerstone of our advantage.
How do we do that?
We assess the specific needs of each company interested in talent and match individuals based upon their needs. Our personal network and relationship with each company and individual we work with assists in identifying the relevant skills needed for each opportunity. We focus on long-term potential, thereby meeting and exceeding the expectations of the companies and talent we work with. While Propel’s primary revenue model is through placement, Propel also strives to foster leadership development through networking, mentoring and very hands-on professional matchmaking. We strive to take an exceptionally personalized approach to all of these activities. This individualized attention within a deep and robust network of highly seasoned executives separates Propel from all of the other search and placement businesses. Propel remains committed to networking, mentorship and talent development by using a significant portion of its revenue and resources for these activities. The feedback Propel has received has been spectacular and rewarding.
